How Great Oh Lord

When coming in to a time of communion, many things come to mind.  I think of the forgiveness, the sacrifice, the separation within the very trinity of God, the resurrection, the new covenant, and so many insights into the very character of God.  While processing a lot of this in my own life, I wrote this simple song to try and soak in some of the meaning of coming to the table.  Hope it can bring a little encouragement to you today.

How Great Oh Lord

As the bread is broken on the table
As the cup is poured out
I remember how You were sacrificed
and in death You promised life.

How great oh Lord was the sacrifice.
How great oh Lord was the price.
How great oh Lord was Your love for me.
Now I remember You.

As Your body was raised on the cross
As Your voice cried out
All my sins were raised to You
Never to be raised again

As the Father looked away, as the Spirit left the Son
The body of Christ broken for love, but the darkness has not won
How great a love for me (3X)
How great a love

How great oh Lord was the sacrifice.
How great oh Lord was the price.
How great oh Lord is Your love for me.
Now I remember You.

Now I re__member You.
Now I re__member You.
